Samuel Godbehere registered his first mark on 20th November 1784 and worked alone for only a very short time. He registered a mark in partnership with Edward Wigan on 13^th September 1786. This means that Samuel Godbehere was only working alone for 22 months. Tongs by him alone are therefore quite rare.
