Peter & Ann Bateman silver sugar tongs date from 2nd May 1791 to January 1800. Peter & Ann immediately followed the very rare Peter & Jonathan mark. The style of these sugar tongs is very similar to those of Peter & William and Peter, Ann & William tongs, so much so that it can be very difficult to tell them apart.
