Thomas Tookey registered his first mark on 30^th October 1773 as a spoon-maker. He went on to register additional marks up to 1780. His tongs are fairly rare, but generally beautifully made.; The maker's mark is quite a distinctive script mark and difficult to confuse with anyone else.
