This pair of tongs has a lovely feather edge. The lion passant is facing in the normal direction, left. I have dated them at c1810. Unfortunately the maker's mark is rubbed but there can't be much doubt that they are by Cattle & North although a closer look at the maker's mark suggests that they may be by James Barber when he was working alone in June/July 1814.
