This is a pair of plain "Old English" tongs, with a squared and concave bow and slightly bevelled edges to the arms. Unfortunately the bowls are very slightly battered. These tongs have a crest of a dog with a gothic "B" engraved beneath the crest. I strongly suspect the monogram was added some time after the crest.
