These are a fairly standard pair of Old English double thread edge tongs. They have a crest of a stag. some ways there is nothing remarkable about these tongs.

These tongs are in excellent condition and dated between 1st September 1815 and 28th May 1816. This can be deduced from the flattened duty mark. They are just over 5.1/2 inches long and weigh 38.3 grams.
