This is a pair of cast tongs. They have an interesting "half moon" style to the bowls and a bright cut engraved flower to the shoulders. They also have an interesting engraved star pattern to the bow. They are dated c1775 - 1780. Sadly, as if often the case with cast tongs, they suffer from a number of repairs.
