These are a pair of fairly standard bright cut tongs, but with a delightful twirling pattern which is quite stunning and unusual. Notice also the strange star shape between the 2 letters on the maker's mark. It is possible that this not actually Thomas Northcote but a different maker a they are so different to his normal work - we cannot be sure. They are marked on the arms and dated 1791/92.
