Samuel Whitford I was a London maker. Grimwade records him as entering his only mark on 27th March 1764. Heal records him as a Goldsmith 1773-90. With the maker's mark of "SW" we cannot be completely sure who the maker is, but I think the likeliest suspect is Samuel Whitford I.
