I have dated these tongs at around 1770. They have a nice "Adam" style engraving in a leaf pattern to the top of the arms. They have an unfortunate repair to one arm, although from the front it is not too bad. The maker's mark is poorly struck, but this is not unusual for cast sugar tongs.
