As is so often the case, we cannot be completely certain who this maker is. My best guess is Richard Redrick. He registered his first mark as a small worker on 7th April 1762 and followed this with two additional marks. In 1773 he was listed in the parliamentary report as a watchcasemaker. In 1796 Charles Redrick also registered a mark as a watchcasemaker. We assume he was Richard's son. These are a lovely pair of tongs, fairly typical of the period of around 1770 to 1785.
