These are a fairly ordinary pair of cast tongs. The arms have a row of small circular holes all down the sides. Other than this the arms are solid, making them less prone to damage. The tongs have not been repaired, perhaps as a consequence. What absolutely delights me about these tongs is the hallmark. The tongs have been so often polished that the hallmark has been almost completely worn away, leaving just a completely blank mark where it used to be.
