These tongs are interesting, in that they are only 5 inches long - shorter than most. They are also have the "half" cast shell bowls. As usual, these tongs also have a repair. This time a plate has been soldered onto the back of one of the arms. This repair is one of the better ones I have seen as the silversmith has been quite careful to try to disguise it from the front, not completely successfully - but nearly.
