Miles Askew registered a mark on 30^th September 1784 as a small-worker. There is a reference to a Joseph Askew in partnership with William Judd, as buckle-makers, in 1788. This may be related. Tongs by Miles Askew are rare. This a pair of fairly standard bright cut tongs, dated 1795/96.
