These tongs were made in three parts, the two arms being soldered onto the bow. They have two monograms, one on the bow and a different one on the top of one arm. The one on the arm will be later, probably Victorian. Because of their style I would estimate these tongs to be dated around 1780, possibly even a little earlier.
