These are standard flared bright cut tongs, albeit with a nice shapely pattern to them. They are engraved with a gothic monogram which will have been added much later; this was a Victorian habit! Please excuse the upside down photograph of the monogram but I believe it to be "DW" rather than "MC". The incuse duty mark is very clear.
