This pair of tongs are a little
plainer than the previous pairs but still have a bright cut feather edge and
elaborately engraved shoulder and cartouche. The fan shape in the
bowls has now changed but is still recognisably similar to the previous
pairs. The maker's mark has changed again so I have dated them c1784. Click on a picture to enlarge |
