This pair of tongs to look at are a small, delicate pair of tongs with Adam style engraving to the top of the arms. These tongs have a small, circular bowl which is normal for the time, but unusual for George Brasier. These tongs are also much smaller than most other George Brasier tongs. These tongs are dated c1780. The maker’s mark on these tongs is distinctive as the “G” and the “B” are not straight and the mark looks as if it could be in an oval punch.
