This is a pair of flared bright cut tongs. This pair have just a simple beaded pattern down the edges of the arms. Other than this they are completely plain. They have unusually wide arms. From the shape of the Lion & Duty mark, I have dated them at c1790. These tongs have the maker's mark in the rectangular punch.
