These tongs are flared and bright cut. The bow is slightly concave and the bowls are oval with the edged pattern extending from the lower half of the arms around the edges of the bowls. The engraving is slightly worn nevertheless the styling and quality is good. I have dated them as 1794/95 but from their style they may well be one of the earlier pairs, i.e. 1783/84.
