These tongs have one of the loveliest engraved monograms that I have seen. It is a beautifully done mermaid, with a mirror and comb, engraved either side with the letters, TW and AD. I’m sure there must be a fascinating story about these. They are dated between 8th August 1798 and 25th March 1800.
