These tongs are completely plain in style. They will be dated between 8th August 1806 and 9th October 1806. We know this because the duty mark is not cusped or clipped, dating them after 7th August. Parsons & Goss only sent in tongs for assay up to 9th October that year beforte dissolving the partnership on 24th December,
