Nathaniel Smith & Co were Sheffield makers. Their mark was entered at the Sheffield Assay Office on August 10th 1780. The company consisted of Nathaniel Smith, George Smith & James Creswick. Jackson's records articles seen dated between 1780 and 1803. The sugar tongs shown here date from between 1787 and 1807.
