John Glenny is a well known Montrose maker. His first mention was in 1817 and latest 1860. There was also an Alexander Glenny of Arbroath, Montrose & Stonehaven, presumably related. John Glenny was recorded as a Jeweller working in Montrose in 1837. This is a nice pair of fiddle pattern tongs, probably dated any time between 1820 & 1840. The marks are very clear.
