These tongs have the harp shown in a "shaped" punch which dates them before 1786, I have tentatively dated them at c1780 - 1785. They have a lovely bright cut entwined rope pattern engraving & the engraving overall is nice & sharp & clear. The maker's mark on this pair have a pellet between the two letters.
