These are a pair of tongs with concave arms and light bright cut engraving to the tops of the arms and around the edges of the arms, They have shell like circular bowls. They are very large at 6.1/2 inches in length and weighing 52 grams. The hallmarks appear to be oval in shape although the harp is a little distorted. I have therefore dated them at between 1787 and 1793.
