Arthur Keen was made free in 1774 and died in 1817. Other than this we know nothing of him. There is no record of a registered mark for him. There is no record of any other maker in Dublin with the initials “AK" around this period. These are lovely tongs, with cast bowls, soldered onto the bright cut arms and are dated prior to 1784, probably c1780.
