These tongs are standard London fiddle pattern and clearly over-struck. These are bright cut engraved tongs with the standard style bright cut engraving for John Le Gallais' work with a delightful zig-zag pattern along the arms. These tongs have a 3 letter monogram that appears to be "NLC". They are dated 1855.
