These tongs are dated between 1814 and 1823 and are completely plain, with straight edges. This is not unusual for York sugar tongs of around this period. They sport a simple monogram "D". The maker's mark on these tongs is particularly interesting, having a very "mottled" background which is quite different to the other JB WW maker's marks.
