These tongs are a pair of flared, bright cut tongs. They have an engraved pattern all around the edges of the arms and deep cut engraved bowls. They have a betrothal or marriage monogram. One can just about see a pellet between the W and T of the maker's mark. They are probably dated between 1780 and 1784.
