William Harrison I had been apprenticed to Joseph Steward and registered his first mark as a small-worker on 18th July 1758. He registerd a second mark in 1767, He appeared as a buckle-maker in the parliamentary list of 1773, and registered a mark as a buckle-maker in 1781. His tongs are of lovely early designs and styles. I have dated them in what I believe to be the approximate order from their styles. These dates of course could be wrong, but seem reasonable to me.
