Thomas Shepherd registered his first mark on 18th December 1769 as a small-worker. He registered other marks up to 5th April 1786 and was presumed to be still working, possibly up to 1792 when he moved to Reading. We cannot be certain that this attribution is correct but it seems most likely as the only other likely maker would be Thomas Streetin but he did not register his first mark until August 1794.
