Jonathan Perkins I registered his first mark on 23rd April 1772 as a small-worker. He then went on to register a number of other marks up to 6th November 1789, many as a buckle-maker. We know that he made sugar tongs, as his partnership with his son also produced sugar tongs. Jonathan & Jonathan Perkins were father and son and registered a mark together on 5th August 1795 as plate-workers. Their partnership lasted only until 29th August 1800 when the father registered a mark on his own again. Their tongs are generally standard bright cut in style.
