John Bourne and Thomas Moore III worked together from 26th June 1770, when they registered a mark as a "Small-worker" through to (probably) 1774. John Bourne registered his own mark alone on 2nd February 1774. They did also register as buckle-makers on 8th February 1775.  Their registration is a bit curious as Thomas Moore was a London man and John Bourne was from Staffordshire. When John Bourne registered his marks on his own, he was living in London. Grimwade, goes onto comment that this partnership "is very extraordinary and it may perhaps be that Bourne was temporarily away from London or a sleeping partner".
