Deakin Smith & Co were Sheffield makers, dated at 1785. This a very rare mark. The mark is not recorded, however a Deakin Smith & Co mark is recorded as makers of old Sheffield Plate. The hallmarks on the sugar tongs are very clearly Sheffield 1791.
