Jackson records John Kearnsí mark on bright cut tea-spoons, dated 1800. These tongs are a glorious pair of typically Irish tongs, concave, with shell bowls and the Irish engraved star. Although the engraved pattern on these tongs is almost identical to the pair by James Scott, the arms on these tongs are concave over almost the whole length whereas the James Scott pair has only a concave bow. They are dated c1800.
